Date              : 11 May 2007

Subject        : The Revenue Department warned companies to file tax returns
                             within 30 May 2007.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Revenue Department warned compananies to file annual corporate income tax returns (CIT 50, CIT 52 and CIT 55) within 30 May 2007 and asked for cooporation on correctly filing tax returns and paying taxes in accordance with the facts.

This is the period of filing annual corporate income tax returns (CIT 50, CIT 52 and CIT 55) for companies, juristic partnerships, foundations and associations, whose accounting period ended on 31 December 2006 irrespective of the amount of earned income. In this respect, the Revenue Department provides services for the taxpayers : to file tax returns and pay taxes electronically via its website (www.rd.go.th) ; or to file tax returns at the local Area Revenue Branch Office or at a commercial bank within the area where its respective headquarter is situated.

Mr. Satit Rungkasiri, Deputy Director-General and spokesman of the Revenue Department, said that the taxpayers would not be asked to submit any documents when they filed tax returns electronically. The electronic service facilitates the taxpayers to be able to file tax returns in shorter time and with lower cost. Due to the development of IT and better network, we are able to analyse and supervise taxpayers’ information on individual basis, therefore we would like to ask for taxpayers’ cooperation on filing tax returns and paying taxes in accordance with the facts.

Mr. Satit Rungkasiri added that filing CIT 55 by foundations and associations and filing CIT 52 by companies established under foreign law, carrying on business in relation to international transportation may also be done electronically.
