Subject        :  RD on Tour - Sharing Happiness Through Our Taxes

                         The Revenue Department organized RD on tour which concentrates on creating good ethics to instill voluntary compliances by focusing on good cooperation with the public. The activities include organizing flee market selling cheap produce, concerts sung by various famous singers to entertain taxpayers in Samut Sakhon and nearby provinces.

                         Mr. Vinai Vittavasgarnvej, Director General of the Revenue Department, chaired the 3rd RD on tour opening ceremony at Samut Sakhon Town Hall. The Director General was greeted by Mr. Satit Rungkasiri, Principal Advisor and other Senior Executives of Revenue Department as well as the locals.

                         The objective of organizing this event was to instill good ethics for voluntary compliance from taxpayers. RD on tour is used as part of proactive public relation campaign to communicate directly with the target population. Thus, it provides the opportunity for citizens to participate and build closer relationship between Revenue Department and taxpayers in all age groups through various activities.

                         Mr. Vinai Vittavasgarnvej said that, “The project organized by the Revenue Department concentrates on giving tax knowledge to the public to build good ethics and instill good practice for taxpayers. These activities are practiced to ensure that all age groups get the message under RD concept of “sharing happiness through our taxes”.

                         To attract audience the Revenue Department organized events such as painting competition, essays writing, tax calculation competition, singing songs relevant to Revenue Department and prize draw. The awards were presented by Mr. Atsadang Sresuphornpun, Deputy Director General. In addition to the aforementioned activities, OTOP products and other cheap produce were also available, the event ended with comedy, concert sung by various artists and cultural show from 4 regions of the country.

                         RD on Tour has been held for the 3rd year running, there are 3 events of RD on Tour this year, the first being held in Samut Sakhon on the 29th May 2009, 2nd in Maha Sarakham on 12th June and 3rd event in Chachoengsao on 26th June 2009.Thus, we urge citizens in these provinces and other nearby provinces to join us to learn more about taxes and enjoy the entertainment provided by us.
