Subject        :  Memorandum of Cooperation on the Filling Tax Service at Koh Tao District, Suratthani Province

                        On 17 May 2007, Mr. Sanit Rangnoi, the Director-General of the Revenue Department, and Mr. Jaramporn Chotiksatien, the Vice Manager of Business Cash Management Group, the Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, jointly signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Filling Tax Service via Internet and paper form for local entrepreneurs at Koh Tao, Koh Phangan District, Suratthani Province. The service facilitates filing tax returns such that the local taxpayers can file all tax returns at Siam Commercial Bank, Koh Tao branch, Suratthani Province from June 1, 2007, onwards.        
            
                        Mr. Sanit Rangnoi, the Director-General of the Revenue Department, said that the success of this service was due to the cooperation of the Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited. By incorporating the information technology systems of the two organisations, the service not only provides better service to local taxpayers at Koh Tao, but also helps the Revenue Department reduce costs and resources in arranging for our officers to collect tax returns forms which are normally done twice a month. Therefore we would like to invite the local taxpayers to use this service from June 1, 2007, onwards. Moreover, the Revenue Department considers introducing similar services to other areas.

                       Mr. Jaramporn Chotiksatien, the Vice Manager of Business Cash Management Group, the Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, said that the bank has aimed to develop its products and financial services to cover customers’ needs under the concept of being ‘The Premier Universal Bank’. This time the bank has used the SCB Business Cash Management to service the Revenue Department by introducing another channel to collect tax payments which is a great beneficial to local people and entrepreneurs at Koh Tao, Suratthani Province. The local taxpayers can save time by filing tax returns and making tax payments at the Siam Commercial Bank, Koh Tao branch, via internet banking and ATM. Moreover the Revenue Department will be able to collect taxes according to the target resulting in a more efficient revenue management for social and national development.
