Subject        : Deputy Finance Minister Visited the Revenue Department.

                         On 3 March 2008, Mr. Pradit Phattharaprasit, the deputy Finance Minister, and his team visited and delivered the policy to Revenue Department. Mr. Sanit Rangnoi, Director-General of the Revenue Department and the other top executives welcomed them and provided a briefing on the mission, roles and responsibilities as well as tax collection performance of the Revenue Department in the past year at Meeting Room 1 of the Revenue Department.

                         Mr. Pradit said “My visit and policy which focuses on public administration in accordance with guidelines of the government will clarify the administration direction of the Revenue Department. I am confident that the work of the Revenue Department will be an important mechanism in stimulating the economy and maintaining fiscal discipline in accordance with the government policy. Today I have learned about the Revenue Department and its needs in various areas. Let us work together to take of our taxpayer clients, collect tax in a fair manner as well as maintain a good attitude towards the taxpayers. We must perform our jobs in accordance with standards which will facilitate voluntary compliance and drive the performance of the Revenue Department to the maximum efficiency for the benefit of the country.”
