Subject : The Revenue Departments reminder for companies to file tax returns by 29 May 2008.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Revenue Department wishes to remind companies to file annual corporate income tax returns (CIT 50, CIT 52 and CIT 55) within 29 May 2008 and duly ask for their cooperation in correctly paying taxes in accordance with the facts. Currently we are in the period of filing annual corporate income tax returns (CIT 50, CIT 52 and CIT 55) for companies, juristic partnerships, foundations and associations, whose accounting period ended on 31 December 2007 irrespective of the amount of earned income. A juristic person may file its tax return electronically via the Departments website (www.rd.go.th) or file its tax return at the local Area Revenue Branch Office or at a commercial bank within the area where its headquarters is situated. Should a juristic person opt to file a tax return electronically, it does not need to submit any documents. This greatly facilitates the taxpayer in terms of shorter time and lower costs. Nevertheless, the Revenue Department requests the cooperation of all taxpayers to file tax returns and make correct tax payment in accordance with the actual circumstances and facts. The Revenue Departments modernised IT system has enabled the Department to integrate information and better analyse the current tax liability of each taxpayer in an efficient and timely manner. |
