Subject : The Revenue Department organises reforestation activities in honour of Their Majesties to commemorate its 93rd anniversary.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the 2nd September 2008 the Revenue Department celebrates its 93rd anniversary. The Department wanted to organise activities which comply with the Kings and Queens initiatives to help conserve the natural resources and environment. On this occasion, the Revenue Department organised a reforestation project on the 93rd anniversary of the Department in honour of Their Majesties on the 4th September to a National Reserve in Cha am , Petchaburi province to replant 1,993 trees at a National Reserve in Cha am, Petchaburi province. The planted trees were all trees of commercial value within the local area.
The reforestation project allowed senior management and staff of the Revenue Department to make contributions to the community, society. At the same time, the Project will build conscience of civil servants and staffs of the importance in conservation of natural resources and environment, especially the rehabilitation of forest which should help reduce global warming, an issue that has caught the attention of the people worldwide.
