Subject        :  The Revenue Department organizes withholding tax seminars at its Headquarters.

                         The Revenue Department will organize 8 rounds of free withholding tax seminars during 23-26th November 2009 on the 2nd floor of the Revenue Department. The topic of the seminar is: “Knowing withholding tax makes life easier than you think”. Each session is expected to attract some 500 people. Interested individuals can reserve their seats through www.rd.go.th from 9th November 2009 onwards.

                         Mr. Prasong Poontaneat, Deputy Director-General and Spokesman of the Revenue Department said, “Currently there are still large numbers of taxpayers that fail to comply correctly. Under the current tax laws, guidelines and regulations concerning withholding tax, in certain circumstances payers of income may have to withhold tax and remit it to the Revenue Department in order to reduce the burden of income earners.

                         This seminar is expected to attract nearly 4000 people and the Revenue Department hopes that these seminars will help taxpayers to understand better in matters related to withholding tax to minimize mistakes in tax deductions and payment.
